why the Digital Humanities are the next awesomest frontier (and it’s here)
On day 1 of the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI 2014) I want to post a video produced by one of my students in the online Intro to Latin American History class I am teaching (with a great team of TAs) at UCR and across the University of California system this quarter.
The assignment was for students to go to their campus library and explore – they had to figure out what “stacks” were, where the Latin American stacks were, what librarians do etc. Creativity and originality and risk-taking was encouraged.
One of theĀ results is in the link below, stay tuned for more (I am awaiting permission from the students!).
